I started writing BDSM romance in 2006 as a brand new writer. Writers are often encouraged to write what they know and love so that’s what I did. Although I didn’t know as much about BDSM back then as I thought, I did know what was in my heart and that’s what I try to express on the page every time I write a new book.
My first BDSM romance was my short story Submissive Secrets. It’s a bit different from how I write them now simply because over the years we writers grow in new directions the more we write, hopefully improving our craft.
I now have two BDSM series and more than a dozen titles in the genre I adore. This includes my first full length novel, Submissive Beauty. I write about fetishes that fascinate me, I explore menage relationships regularly, but more often than not you’ll notice my focus always circles back to the D/s portion of the BDSM acronym. The emotional heart of the power exchange between a consenting Dominant and submissive.
That is where my heart belongs…

Eliza your work is so addicting! Favorite thing that fascinates me about BDSM…how it really seems to be a giving/giving relationship and not give/take like the majority assumes. I’ve never participated but if I do…I have learned so much from you, I will know exactly what to look for!

I like to see how BDSM reveals the hidden aspects of a relationship, or adds shading to a couple that seems ordinary on the surface.
Life is totally like your books even without the BDSM you both have to give to make it work.
I wanted to tell you I LOVED Submissive Beauty it is an wonderful book. I love the power exchange aspect of the whole D/s (BDSM ) scene. That’s what I like in my novel.

I have only been reading erotica for a few months and my experience with BDSM is limited to those few books. My attraction to this genre is mostly because it is all new and different. I enjoy all the aspects of BDSM romance, probably mostly because it’s a fantasy of mine to experience the real thing at least once. I love the power balance between Dom and sub, if it’s written right you can really understand just how much they care for each other and the trust that’s required in a true D/s relationship.
